The Quality Analysis tool is designed to evaluate tie point and mesh quality, as well as camera dependencies within a scene using advanced options. There are three analysis types available:
To activate the Quality Analysis tool, go to the Analyze section of the ALIGNMENT tab. It can also be accessed from the WORKFLOW tab or the SCENE 3D/TOOLS tab in the application ribbon.
Calculates the quality of tie points in the sparse point cloud. It primarily evaluates the camera coverage of each tie point and displays quality values in the 3Ds view using a color scale from green (good quality) to red (poor quality).
This can be used to quickly assess quality after alignment, helping identify areas where camera coverage can be improved or where control points may be needed to better connect images.
Calculates the quality of the mesh by evaluating camera coverage for each triangle. The quality is visualized in the 3D view using a color scale from green (good quality) to red (poor quality). These values can be baked into a texture using the Bake button or used to colorize mesh vertices with the Colorize button. It is not necessary to calculate the quality beforehand, as it will be computed automatically during the baking or colorizing process.
Coloring and baking mesh quality values allows you to preserve quality information for use in post-processing, helping to improve textures, normal maps, and related outputs.
